Several believers that, not the way the world ended in the movie “2012,” claim that Armageddon will destroy Earth, the British paper Telegraph reported on Tuesday.
According to the report, authors of prophecy books such as “The Mayan Prophecies” and “The Nostradamus Code” indicate that humankind will face “world-changing event” in 2012.
“The Mayan Prophecies” describes the Mayan Holy Number and its supposed consequences for the world. “The Nostradamus Code” is said to detail “a series of natural disasters caused by a comet … which will allow the third anti-Christ to disperse his troops around the globe under the guise of aid in preparation for a nuclear war.”

Believers are convinced that a French village is the only place that will be spared. The French village of Bugarach in southwestern France has since received attention as the only place on Earth believed to survive Armageddon in 2012.
According to village mayor Jean-Pierre Delord, many people who believe the mountain in the village has a UFO garage which will eventually leave with a lucky few humans with them on the final day.
“Many come and pray on the mountainside. I’ve seen one man doing some ritual totally nude up there,” said Delord.
